Linda Cota-Kumagai Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals

Linda Cota-Kumagai celebrates 10 years of professional experience in foster care and adoption services

    SHERMAN OAKS, CA, December 31, 2010 /Women in Business PR News/ -- Linda Cota-Kumagai, BASW, MA, Director of Hanai Outreach Services, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in foster care and adoption services.

With 10 years of professional experience, Ms. Cota-Kumagai has developed an expertise in mentoring and consulting on infant adoption. At Hanai Outreach Services, she connects with the public to share information about adoption and foster care. Further, she oversees the outreach services and continuing education units to health care and social service professionals. Prior to starting Hanai Outreach Services, Ms. Cota-Kumagai worked for Holy Family Services, an adoption and foster care agency, where she held a position in birth and adoptive parent outreach. She also conducted foster parent recruitment for Walden Family Services, an adoption and foster care agency.

In 2010, Ms. Cota-Kumagai earned a Bachelor of Arts in social work from California State University, Los Angeles. Prior to this, she attained a master's degree in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Additionally, Ms. Cota-Kumagai graduated from the University of Southern California with two bachelor's degrees in Spanish and public relations. A member of the National Association of Social Workers, she has been honored by Toastmasters, International with the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) designation. She plans to continue progressing forward, attaining more degrees and mentoring people in social work.

Hanai Outreach Services is a continuing education provider for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and the California Board of Registered Nursing. Health care professionals who complete the one hour in-service training, "The Health Care Professionals Role in Adoption Planning," receive one credit towards their licensing requirements. It also specializes in providing recruitment and outreach services for adoption and foster care agencies. Hanai serves the Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside and Ventura Counties.
