As a Senior Manager of IT Governance and Compliance with ING Direct, Rakhi has routinely demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be successful in the business world.
ING Direct is a branchless banking organization which offers direct banking services and products. They offer services over the internet, phone, ATM or by mail, and focus on simple, high-interest savings accounts. Rakhi has broad experience in internal audit, risk management, corporate governance, compliance, quality assurance, corporate communications and human resources. She is responsible for internal audit quality assurance activities, audit planning, file reviews, enhancing internal auditing practices and standards, audit program assurance, team coaching and mentoring.
Rakhi began her professional career as an errand girl for a relocation company. She got her start in HR making contacts from that job. Rakhi has been selected to participate in a 2 year management rotation program, spending 6 months in 4 different areas of ING Direct. Her 2011 rotation will be in Marketing and Risk Management. She is also participating in a Canadian project called MomSHIFT that focuses on women who have achieved career success after having children. In addition, Rakhi has her own business called Mysticlite Wellness Solutions which focuses on personal wellness, empowerment and coaching.
During her educational career, Rakhi earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in 1992. She has been awarded a Certificate of Recognition from the Minister of Labour for promoting a racism-free workplace. Rakhi's success stems from her ability to keep an open mind as well as her continuing education, enthusiasm to help people succeed, and her sense of adventure to dive into the unknown. Her broad professional and personal career has made her a "knowledge broker" of sorts. Rakhi is a go-to person for everything from career advice, personal coaching, child rearing tips, professional subject matter expertise, pop culture news, and much more.
