Kropper has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her exceptional entrepreneurial effort. As Owner and Creative Director of Paper & Pixel, as well as throughout her brilliant career, Jean has consistently displayed the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
Established in 2008, Paper & Pixel is a company, whose work unites paper engineering and direct marketing, thus providing a useful counterbalance to short-lived electronic communications. They are a unique direct marketing agency that specializes in paper engineered messages. In the media mix of a large campaign, paper engineering offers a balance of longevity and hands on involvement.
Jean parlayed a childhood delight with pop-up books into the skill of paper engineering. Now she combines a blend of technical skill and creative imagination to transform two dimensional ideas into three dimensional messages. She has also written three books and over 30 articles on hand papermaking and hand bookbinding, published both in Australia and overseas. One of Jean's hand-bound books was presented to Mikhail Gorbachev in Moscow in 1991.
During her collegiate career, Jean earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art from the University of Vermont, a Diploma in Direct Marketing from the Australia Direct Marketing Association, and a Diploma in Graphic Design from the Northern Sydney Institute of TAFE. She is a member of the Australian Society of Authors and the Australian Graphic Design Association.
