Stanford Who's Who Selects Sensational CEO For Membership
Mary Nissenson has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her outstanding professional career.
SAUSALITO, CA, February 9, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Mary Nissenson has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her outstanding professional career. As President and CEO of Global Gravitas Inc., Mary has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
Global Gravitas Inc. is an organization which specializes in strategic planning for international peace summits and global healthcare campaigns. Among the projects they are involved with is A.M.E.N., which is the first global campaign to fight MSRA. The organization is also part of Obesity Must Go (OMB), a nationwide campaign to combat childhood obesity, in support of First Lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" efforts. In addition, they are involved with Remember Each Abandoned Child of Haiti (REACH), which delivers funds to those who need them the most right now.
Mary was a summa cum laude graduate of Vassar College in 1974. She earned her Law degree from the University of Chicago in 1977, where she was the first woman elected president in that institution's history. Mary has also served as a corporate litigator, reporter, and documentarian over the course of her career.
In 1988, Mary formed Foresight Communications Inc. which worked with Fortune 500 companies to divert monies from traditional marketing and advertising to public service ventures, earning her recognition as one of the "Socially Responsible Entrepreneurs of the Year" by INC Magazine and induction into the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame.
In 1995, Mary was the victim of a disastrous plastic surgery mishap which left her homebound and disabled with an incurable pain condition, then known as cranial reflex sympathetic dystrophy. After overcoming that major obstacle, Mary set out to help others through the formation of Global Gravitas Inc.
