As Director of Wayfarers Australia for the past 14 years, Judith has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
Wayfarers Australia is a musical performance group that invites singers age 11 and up from throughout Australia to enjoy the experience of performing. They learn and perform music that lifts the spirit and enlivens their community: from early European to contemporary Australian, and from the choral traditions of many cultures. Wayfarers Australia often incorporates movement and drama in performances, and they tour and conduct choral workshops regularly, both in Australia and overseas. The group engages, nurtures and challenges the musical and personal growth of performers young and old, men and women.
Judith is an Australian composer, conductor, performer and music educator. She received her collegiate education at the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales. Judith has also studied at the Canberra School of Music and the Zoltan Kodaly Pedagogical Institute of Music. She has had a career filled with tremendous accomplishment, including, receiving a Membership of the Order of Australia for services to music, Churchill Fellowship, Australia Council Composer Fellowship, ANU Creative Arts Fellowship, artsACT Creative Artists Fellowship, Canberra Times Artist of the Year, and a Sounds Australian award for her composition Kakadu.
