Leona Detienne-Strong of Burnaby, Canada, has been Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who

Mrs. Detienne-Strong began writing at 8 years of age; she has always dreamed of becoming a writer, as well as an illustrator

    Burnaby, Canada, May 13, 2011 /Women in Business PR News/ -- Writer Leona Detienne-Strong has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in the written word.

Born in Belgium, Mrs. Detienne-Strong began writing at 8 years of age; she has always dreamed of becoming a writer, as well as an illustrator. She was further inspired by her late husband, Camille Detienne, who was a published author. When he became ill, Mrs. Detienne put her dreams on hold to focus on his career. However, she is now in the midst of editing her first novel, "The Blind Man's Eyes;" she hopes it will be published this year. After that, she will complete a true story (novel) and several short stories.

Mrs. Detienne-Strong (who changed her name after her marriage to Robert Strong) is the recipient of a Ph.D. in French History from de Universite of Dijon. Prior to this, she graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Arts in French literature. In the past, she instructed French at the college level.
